Library Media Specialists: A Day of Impactful Collaboration

About this event:

This day is designed specifically to meet the needs of school library media specialists. The day will consist of whole group time and breakout sessions which will include updates and resources from our WI DPI school library consultant, Monica Treptow. This will be followed by a topic of focus, such as intellectual freedom, Al and the library program, library planning, various facets of collection development, STEM/STEAM, and whatever else we collectively decide is a priority this school year.

Topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Workflow Management to Support Library Media Specialist Well-Being

Afternoon Breakout sessions will include (but are not limited to):

  • Navigating AI Attribution and Citation for School Staff and Students

  • Information Literacy: Grab & Go Resources and Sharing

  • STEM/Makerspace Products Demo and Interactive Exploration

  • Continuing the Conversation: Wellness and How to Survive as a Library Media Specialist

  • Physical Library Space Design & Passive Programming

A general Q&A session will also be included. This session is included for no additional fee for those enrolled in CESA 2’s LMS Network.

Schedule:

  • February 15, 2027: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Price: $100 for single registrant
$75 per attendee with two or more from the same district. You must reach out to events@cesa2.org to receive a discount code to apply to your registration before completing.
