New Teacher Mentor Project
Your New Educators Deserve the Best and Most Qualified Mentors and Coaches!
CESA 2 is proud to partner with the New Teacher Center (NTC), utilizing the resources, training, and research of the New Teacher Center, a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving student learning by guiding a new generation of educators.
Research on the NTC program has shown that the students of new educators whose mentors are trained by the NTC have an additional 2-6 months of growth in Reading and Math per year as compared to other mentor programs. The research has also shown an educator retention rate of more than 30% higher than in districts that use other mentor programs.
The state requires at least one full day of mentor training to support new teachers. The CESA 2 NTC Mentor/Coach program meets and exceeds the state requirements and offers high-quality professional learning.
