Consultative Transition Services
The CESA 2 Transition Services support school districts in the creation of effective transition practices within their school district through the following professional development and consultative services, which are offered both in-person and virtually through synchronous and asynchronous formats:
Coaching: Contracted individualized sessions to assist an individual or small group of educators.
Group Trainings/Workshops: Trainings conducted in district, at CESA 2 facilities, or virtually
District Transition Improvement Plan Development: Collaborate with the CESA 2 Transition and Identification Specialist to complete a district review/assessment and develop a district transition improvement plan.
Transition Advisory Network (TAN) (See below)
The above consultative services are available in the areas of:
Transition 101: Overview for Case Managers of All Disability Areas: This training provides an overview/basics of transition, IEP meeting resources, information on agencies, transition assessments, employment, higher education, short-term certification programs, legal and county resources, military, etc.
PTP Training: How to Write an Effective PTP
Efficient and Effective Transition Discussion In the IEP: The Questions All Case Managers Should Be Asking and the Information All Case Managers Should be Providing Students/Parents/Guardians
Development of a District Transition Website
Secondary IEP Training: Language Matters-Modifications vs. Accommodations
Beyond 18, Curriculum & IEP Development/Support: Developing programming, curriculum (including virtually), IEP development/appropriate goals, and supplemental materials

Transition Advisory Network (TAN)
The Transition Advisory Network (TAN) provides ongoing collaboration, support, and learning opportunities to districts/staff around transition. Members have the opportunity to network with other districts and build a learning community around improving postsecondary outcomes for students with IEPs. TAN's focus includes collaboration with our ACP partners, creation of transition resources, building awareness around best practice, and assessment/development of district transition plans.
TAN Services include:
Quarterly meetings:
Updated transition materials and resources provided to attendees
Networking time with other districts
Opportunity to learn from transition guest speakers
Innovative support to improve transition services
Participation in Job Olympics
Ongoing phone and email consultation
Transition support in the areas of PTPs, curriculum, event planning, Beyond 18 planning, transition assessments, CCR IEP, ACP, CTE, higher education, agencies/service providers, goals, and other transition areas.

Wisconsin Transition Talks with Brian and Stacy
CESA 2 is excited to partner with the Transition Improvement Grant (TIG) in the new podcast series, Wisconsin Transition Talks with Brian and Stacy. Join Stacy Duffy, CESA 2 Transition & Identification Specialist, and Brian Kenney, Transition Improvement Grant (TIG) Southern Regional Coordinator, for this exciting new podcast series. Each episode features a guest interviewee and focuses on transition topics related to improving postsecondary outcomes for students with IEPs.
