Introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Educators

About this event:

4-session series designed to support educators to:

  • Build awareness of what stress is and how it manifests itself in our lives

  • Develop experiential understanding of mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices

  • Cultivate reflective mindsets and practices for meaningful, lasting change

  • Provide teachers with tools for self-compassion, resilience, and presence

Participants will progress through the stages of awareness, comprehension, and practice across the four sessions. We will begin by developing an awareness of how stress shows up in our lives and recognizing that there are practical strategies to help manage it. Next, we will explore and learn specific stress-reduction practices. Finally, participants will actively engage in these practices and reflect on their impact.
