High-Quality Instruction / High-Leverage Practices

Instruction that Becomes Consistent Across Classrooms

HLPs require modeling, practice, coaching, and reflection. We build the implementation infrastructure—cycles, tools, feedback, and monitoring—so research-based instruction becomes predictable for all learners. Do students understand the learning target and what “good work” looks like?

  • Is strong instruction happening in pockets—but not consistently across classrooms?

  • Do educators have repeated opportunities to practice, get feedback, and refine?

  • Do we have shared expectations and a way to monitor implementation over time?

What this means:

High-leverage instruction doesn’t scale through training alone—it requires practice, feedback, and ongoing support. SIL helps districts build the implementation infrastructure (coaching, learning cycles, observation tools, and monitoring) so strong instruction becomes consistent across classrooms.
