Wisconsin PBIS Network

Overview

The Wisconsin PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Network is a collaborative effort for statewide PBIS implementation and support between the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the state’s Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs).

The goal of the Wisconsin PBIS Network is to provide training and support to schools to successfully implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports to improve the academic success of their students.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a positive, school-wide, systematic approach to support the academic and behavioral functioning of students. PBIS is based on a proactive Response to Intervention model that utilizes evidence-based policies, procedures, and practices to provide consistent, intentional, and intensive intervention for students in a tiered model of support. Schools that successfully implement school-wide PBIS have experienced increased academic performance, decreased disciplinary actions, improved safety, and higher ratings of positive school culture.
