Digital Learning and Emerging Technology Consultant Email Phone: 216.532.3070 Frank Devereaux joined the Digital Leadership and Learning Center in August of 2021 and is excited to be on board to help educators around WI utilize meaningful technology to transform learning in their classrooms. He has over 20 years of middle school teaching experience in the area of Science and Technology. In the Verona school district, he helped pilot a personalized learning program and mastery-based grading system. His favorite student projects include seismically designed architecture structures tested on his “shake table,” 3D printed wind turbine blades tested in his homemade wind tunnel, and every passion project his students ever turned in!
Frank’s role as a MakerSpace Teacher/STEAM Camp Director has allowed him the privilege to work with so many students and educators and learn the Design Process alongside them. He has seen first-hand how valuable it is for students to experience hands-on learning, have time to explore, & given the space to create. He enjoys piquing their interest in 3D printers, laser cutters, game design, and robotics as well as a good old power drill and hammer! He believes students need to learn by doing and feel a sense of accomplishment by actually designing, building, testing, modifying, and redesigning a tangible product that can benefit themselves or society.
Over the last 11 years, Frank has served in the capacity of an Educational Technology Integration Specialist and will
continue that role for CESA 2. He is passionate about leading teachers on their journey with ISTE standards,
innovative resources, and digital creativity tools as a means to help students proudly share how they collaborate, communicate, problem solve and most of all, how they have grown as learners.
